On May 9, 2008 Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski by setting the foundation stone, mark the beginning of the construction of the Memorial house of Mother Teresa. Setting the foundation stone was consecrated by Bishop of Skopje Dr Kiro Stojanov, who upon that occasion held an appropriate sermon. The act was attended by representatives from government, Archbishop Stefan, representatives from local government, citizens and admirers of the life and work of Mother Teresa.
